MCLE or Minimum Continuing Legal Education refers to the approved continuing legal education required of attorneys.
In California, practicing attorneys are required to complete a total of 25 hours of approved credit every three years. This includes at least four hours of legal ethics, one hour of elimination of bias in the legal profession and one hour of prevention, detection and treatment of substance abuse or mental illness.
As a special benefit for our members in good standing, the North Orange County Bar Association, a California State Bar approved MCLE provider, offers a convenient, cost-effective method of fulfilling MCLE requirements.
MCLE credits may be earned by attendance at most of NOCBA’s monthly meetings and by participation in the instructional portion of that program.
